General Introduction

The AT91SAM9G20B-CU is an embedded microprocessor unit based on the Arm926EJ-S™ processor, integrating fast ROM, RAM memories and various peripherals. It's developed by Microchip and is designed to meet the requirements of high-performance and low-power consumption in embedded applications.

• Arm926EJ-S Core: Utilizes the Arm926EJ-S Arm® Thumb® processor with DSP instruction extensions and Arm Jazelle® technology for Java® acceleration. It has a 32 KB data cache, 32 KB instruction cache and a write buffer, with a CPU frequency of 400 MHz. It also comes with a Memory Management Unit and EmbeddedICE for debug communication channel support.

• ITU-R BT.601/656 Support: Complies with ITU-R BT. 601/656 external interface standards, having a programmable frame capture rate. It supports a 12-bit data interface for high-sensitivity sensors, along with SAV and EAV synchronization, a preview path with a scaler and YCbCr format.
• System Controller
• Full-featured Controller: It includes a reset controller, shutdown controller, 128-bit (4 x 32-bit) general-purpose backup registers, clock generator and power management controller, advanced interrupt controller and debug unit, periodic interval timer, watchdog timer and real-time timer.

• Multitude of Interfaces: Integrates a 4-channel 10-bit analog-to-digital converter, three 32-bit parallel input/output controllers (PIOA, PIOB, PIOC), 1 dual-slot MultiMedia Card Interface (MCI), 1 Synchronous Serial Controller (SSC), 4 Universal Synchronous/Asynchronous Receiver Transmitters (USART), 2 Master/Slave Serial Peripheral Interfaces (SPI), 2 three-channel 16-bit Timer/Counters (TC) and 1 Two-Wire Interface (TWI).
